Use the inside of doors carefully
Cabinet-door racks can hold light, shallow items without stealing shelf depth. Check hinge clearance before fitting anything and avoid overloading doors.
Create vertical divisions
Baking trays, chopping boards and pan lids are easier to access when stored vertically rather than stacked. Simple dividers can turn a difficult lower cabinet into useful storage.
Raise one shelf inside another
Shelf risers make better use of tall cabinets, particularly for cups, bowls and pantry items. They work best where you can still see what is stored behind them.
Move occasional equipment away from prime space
The easiest-to-reach cupboards should serve daily routines. Cake stands, entertaining dishes and seasonal equipment can live higher up or elsewhere.
Do not organise around products you never use
Storage improvements start with editing. Keeping five versions of the same tool and then buying organisers for them does not create more space.
